Marie Puce has four quality requirements :selection of fabrics and the cuts, Made in France & Made in Europe, seams and finishes.
1. Selection of fabrics
N°1 @ Marie Puce : Liberty fabric !
Although an expensive fabric, Marie Puce has never found any equivalent. The Liberty fabric tight weaves and its ultra thin threads contribute to its incredible softness. The Liberty prints palette are both chic and of the highest quality. Liberty fabric is just the N°1 fabric.
The single colour Liberty are dyed into colors for the Marie Puce collections. The results are perfect and delicate. All our fabrics are elegant (cotton veil, linen, flannels and pinstripe cotton) AND absolutely faultless and they are pre shrunk.
All our fabrics are OEKO-TEX certified.
2. Marie Puce cuts
The Marie Puce designers always create the first pattern in a standard size; Size 6 years in the children’s collection and 6 months for the baby collection. Our patterns are then developed into all sizes (calibration) by design offices in France of course!
Our workshops create prototypes in extreme sizes : 2 and 12 years old for the children’s collection and 3 and 24 months for the baby collection. Enlargement and reductions of sizes are then checked upon to ensure nothing has been altered in the design and cut and that the neck openings are perfect. The final pattern is approved once they fit perfectly our Stockman models; these mannequins are used by the finest fashion industries and reflect women, men, children and babies’ body shapes.
3. Made in France & Made in Europe
Marie Puce is extremely proud to announce that a large part of its collections are MADE IN FRANCE.
Some of our models for which the know-how is no longer available in France are made in Europe mostly.
Each week, Marie Puce sends its orders to a French workshop. All our best sellers are made-to-order! No stress for Mare Puce when receiving the order. Everything is just perfect! Many thanks to Maria and Florinda’s team and their fairy-like fingers. Congratulations!
4. Cuts and finishes
A priority for every sewing « petites mains ».
Marie Puce is very strict with its suppliers: 6 points to the centimeter, no less no more! The seams take longer to make but are discreet, thin and accurate.
Marie Puce uses N°1 quality threads which match perfectly with our fabrics. Marie Puce always checks the quality of the elastics, seams, button holes..
It is simply Impossible for Marie Puce to accept any quick made item, a common seam, an approximate button hole. Marie Puce would not accept them in the collection.
Our collars are perfectly finished, hoods are removable, our delicate ribbons are a perfect match, embroideries are by hand only and the Marie Puce cuts are elegant and basic.
The Marie Puce designer clothes are recognizable through all these PLUSES ou EXTRAS which make the difference!
