Customer Portrait #2

Laurence and her granddaughter

Today, we are still in lockdown and our store is closed to customers. But we have an appointment with Marie-Laurence and little Elia, 22 months old, for our second customer portrait. And we settle down quietly in the store to start our little interview.

Marie-Laurence, can you introduce yourself?

My name is Marie-Laurence and I am Élia's grandmother. She is my first granddaughter, the daughter of my oldest daughter. She lived in London for four years, where Élia was born, but with all the worries of the Covid crisis and the difficulties of the distance, they decided to return to Paris and settled not far from our home. As a result, now I can take care of Elia more easily and I enjoy her a lot after a whole period where I couldn't see her.

How long have you been living in the neighborhood?

I'm Corsican by birth, I lived in Toulon and Nice, but I've been living in the 15th arrondissement for a very long time. I often come near the Bon Marché, and the rue de Rennes. It's a neighborhood that I like very much and I know all the stores.

A shop in the neighborhood that you love (besides Marie Puce, of course)?

I really like the tea room "Mamie Gâteaux", which is in your street.

With my little girl, we love to walk in all the parks around: I often go to the Luxembourg garden, to the Tuileries, to the André-Citroën Park near my house or to the Georges-Brassens Park... We move around a lot and we try to vary the pleasures!

What's your favorite weekend getaway?

I am a golfer and I still have the chance to go golfing on weekends, and for us, it's a real bubble of air.

We also like to have picnics in the Forêt de Fausses-Reposes in Ville d'Avray.

And I can't wait for the zoos to reopen so I can take Elia with me.

When and how did you discover Marie Puce?

I walk around the neighborhood a lot and I often go to Le Bon Marché, but it's mostly the small boutiques that I prefer. I really like brands with a signature. So, since the birth of my little girl, I obviously started looking at children's clothes, and that's when I discovered Marie Puce.

What do you like most about the Marie Puce boutique?

There are many things I like about Marie Puce! I like the sarouels, very practical, easy to put on and to combine with pretty tops, mixing colors. I also love the refined products like the little dresses and jackets with nice details.

What I like about Marie Puce: it's classic and modern at the same time, with a little innovation and modernity. But also the quality: we put on, we put off, we wash, we wash again and the quality is always impeccable.

Your last purchase at Marie Puce ?

My last purchase was in February, and now I want to buy the new collection, but I'm waiting for the boutique to reopen, because I like to choose and to be able to make associations, touch the products and get advice from Olivia.

Your favorite Liberty?

With Élia who has light eyes, I often use the blue Liberty. I really like the Liberty Éloïse from the new collection. Sometimes I choose pink or green Liberty, but always with a touch of blue.

If you had to describe the world of Marie Puce in one word?

It's a magical universe, elegant and refined, both classic and modern.

What product or service do you think Marie Puce is missing?

Stretchy headbands, which I find very practical, and maybe more plain pieces to go with the Liberty clothes.
